Re: Boot time support for SD card?

hi,
I have been out for nearly a month. Thanks for your help.

> A) Check your bootargs in u-boot (printenv bootargs) and set root=/dev/mmblockdevicewithpartitionnumber I tried that but it told me there are no such partitions. A list of partition is followed and there are only NAND partitions in it.

> B) Generate an initramfs which tries to mount root from root=/dev/mmblockdevicewithpartitionnumber (sd card drivers are loaded by initramfs image, as you can see in your factory default log) Could you tell me how to generate a initramfs image? What is it? I have no knowledge on it. So I hope you can give me some more detailed information.

Bear

Hi, I never tried that, but basically I see two ways:

A) Check your bootargs in u-boot (printenv bootargs) and set
root=/dev/mmblockdevicewithpartitionnumber

B) Generate an initramfs which tries to mount root from
root=/dev/mmblockdevicewithpartitionnumber (sd card drivers are loaded
by initramfs image, as you can see in your factory default log)

Marcus
