Two problems:

1) default shell in squeeze is set to dash:

2) with bash, usb device:

No such file or directory
ofpath: Unable to find the controller path!
ofpath.sh: /proc/scsi/scsi does not exist
ofpath.sh: Make sure you compiled your kernel with CONFIG_SCSI_PROC_FS=y
