just a shot in the dark since i haven't really had a chance to try
the mentioned iso yet, but in the past i had to use 'video=ofonly'
to get stock debian kernels to boot. Also, could you please check
that the systems microcode is at a fairly current level? I had some
boot problems with the early releases of the Power6 systems micro-
code.
