A "fix" (Joseph's ofpath rewrite) has already been proposed and "only"
need to be incorporated into current ofpath for backward-compatibility.
I wanted to do that but don't have time and motivation for now.

Could we know exactly what are you aimed at ? Building a sysfs-only
ofpath that is compatible with every known Power machine ? (would be
amazing, but lot of work)
