Hi
As there is no EnterpriseDB (alternative for Oracle) for PowerPC .....

Do anyone know how to make the "Postgres Plus® Advanced Server v8.3
Rel. 2" run on PowerPC ??

There is a PostgreSQL server available in Debian, just an apt-get away. The "Plus Advanced Server" thing seems to be a proprietary product; this would mean that there is no source, and thus, that it is not possible to
run this on a PowerPC machine.

You could ask EnterpriseDB whether they'd be willing to provide it, but
I doubt they are.
I did so.. a couple of years back... but then they stated there was no future in PowerPC..... and now they have .... more-or-less ..... been bought by IBM... who makes Power chips.....

I just wanted to have a free database with the Oracle PL/SQL stuff.....
and Oracle XE is not available for powerPC either....

Anyhow... anyone with experience on running Oracle RDBMS on Debian (powerpc) ??
