According to the message above it becomes crystal clear that the
reasons that lead to "flamewar and hate" had - at best - marginally to
do with software matters. It was above all a matter of unacceptable
behavior, or "normal behavior", if you think that announcing to hit a
person is normal behavior.

I'm just completely fed up about hearing one side of the story since
it showed up on this list about a year ago. That's why I asked to tell
the whole side of it. Where I grew up people would call that "trying
to play the game fairly". Even better would be perhaps to not stir it
up again and again. For ages.
