Assuming the Ubuntu packages were the same as the Debian ones in Matt
Zimmerman's repository, the answer is no, they were only for i386.

I patched them enough to build the frontend on powerpc, but there are
some (repeatable) segfaults that I haven't spent any time debugging.
It's usable, though, for watching live and recorded TV from a backend
machine.
