It's not clear whether this is hardware acclerated or not though. To
determine that, please

      * Look at the output of 'glxinfo | grep direct'.
      * Compare with and without setting the environment variable
        LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1, which forces indirect software
        rendering.
      * Try a 'real' app using textures, for example an OpenGL
        screensaver, a game, etc.
      * ...

That's correct, Pegasos systems don't have an AGP bridge.

Using PCI, which might explain low performance to some degree.
