Oops: I never have messed with /usr/src/linux/.config, but a wild
guess might suggest you mean the same thing as I do with that file:
that is, the kernel .config for 2.6 ...
Please note, that it might be much easier, hazzle free and more safe
to compile your kernel not in /usr/src: I described how to do that on
<http://www.wolfgangpfeiffer.com/kernel.html>
And after my test last night you probably can ignore "Note 2" on that
page ...
