Mine is "MPlayer 1.0pre5-3.3.5 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team". When i use'-ao alsa', it has the problem i've described above. Then, i found '-ao sdl' works great for me. Okay, now i'll try to get arts work. :-)
