Actually, all Mac serial cables are effectively null-modem cables.
There is only one standard pinout for mini DIN-8 serial ports on
all Apple (and compatible) hardware. That's why I can use the cable
that came with my personal laserwriter (non-localtalk capable) and
also use it to connect two macs for plain serial communication or a
localtalk network limited to two devices.

I have to admit that the cables are harder to find now that Apple
doesn't make anything with serial ports and hasn't for some time.
