Well /dev/pmu is a device used for power management, as thus it can i
belive switch of the box or enter sleep more or such. 

I have been told by some gnome person that this is probably a gnome bug,
but i am not 100% convinced of this. 

Ideally, we would use some power group or something such, possibly a
group similar to the one which would give access to the hardware and
allow a user to do shutdown and such too. i don't think that audio or
video are appropriate here.
