Hej Barry,

OK, don't hate me for this, but I have a 20" Apple display that I use with my 15" 1.25GHz Albook. Yaboot correctly appears on the display when I power up the unit with the lid closed and the display plugged in. I have even booted to the console, and it works fine, too. I am wondering if it would be possible to use XFree86 with this display. I have 4.3.99-pre10 working on the unit, but as there are no XF86Config entries for the display, I am doubtful that it will work. Has anyone done this, and if so, could you possibly share that knowledge?

I am using an Apple Cinema Display on my PC and have it all set
up with XFree86/Linux. You will at least need to tweak some
Modeline settings in the XF86Config file; have a look at

(the very bottom).

Philipp,
Thanks for the reply. Do you have a link to that Apple hardware spec? I have a 20" display, but the configuration info you have is for a 23". Perhaps I can find the 20" spec using the location of your link. I will search on Apple's site as well.
