nope. You want to do it the debian way. :) apt-get install alsa-source (I think that is the package you need). and use the kernel package utils to compile the modules like this: go to /usr/src/linux and run this: make-kpkg modules_image That should then compile all of the external modules. (you will need the debhelper package as well) Satadru On Feb 27, 2004, at 1:46 AM, dotto@uchicago.edu wrote:
I put in ./configure --with-cards=powermac. I have basically followed the instructions off of the site you recommended to the letter. I currently havekernel-package, and libncurses5-dev installed. Would I need any others? Quoting Satadru Pramanik <satadru@umich.edu>:What command are you using to build the alsa modules? Do you have the debian kernel building packages installed? I've downloaded and unpacked the kernel-source from pramanikconsulting.com/debianppc in my usr/src, and symlinked it to /usr/src/linux, but I still get the same error. how do I get this configured? Thanks again, you all have definitely been extremely helpful so far. Derek -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-powerpc-request@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
