I have come to the conclusion that this is exactly what makes the
difference: libXcursor doesn't seem to support ARGB cursors unless it's
built against 4.3 X libraries. Until they enter sid, it might be a good
idea to upload xcursor built against experimental to experimental?
(Unless someone knows the root cause of all this and can fix it, of
course :)
