I read the description of quark and while it seems to be nice (i.e.,
xine based), I was looking for something that also managed the MP3s,
with mass id3 tagging and MP3 organization based on metadata (kind of
like iTunes does).
Since I have now finished my M.Sc. work, I think that I'll start
learning Python and wxpython/tkinter to see if I can code an MP3
manager the way I want.
But honestly, I'd love to not have to write one if a good alternative
exists. I was hoping that Rhythmbox did that, but I could not even get
it to rip a CD, even after installing all files needed from unstable
(I'm regularly using testing). :-(
Do others have the same experiences that I have? Any recommendations?
