:)
Probably not Michel. But it __was__ working before. So I wouldn't really
want to lose it. And I really don't mind fixing it either, but I know
very little about the ide subsystem. But from the code I read, it seems
that Ben has changed some parts of it (from memory, ATA66/100 timings).
The main problem isn't the fact that it doesn't do -m16, but it can't
get DMA. So the disk is slow as a dog. If you read the output from my
dmesg, you'll see that the disk can't get DMA even after it has been
given the ok.
I'll try giving 2.4.22 a shot. It's just going to be pain to try and get
XFS to patch up correctly. I spent about 5 hours last night simply
getting the kernel to cook.
