dselect: Where is the kernel?

Hi all.

This command and its result, here on the machine:
~$ uname -a
Linux debby 2.4.18-newpmac #1 Thu Mar 14 22:44:49 EST 2002 ppc unknown

But when I open the dselect window on the same machine, it seems I haven't
installed any kernel.

I installed Debian recently, using the CD/PPC Version for installing
Debian 3.0 r1, and some stuff perhaps was downloaded from WWW or so.

Did I miss something?
Or is there a special routine to tell dselect which kernel is on the
machine?

Thanks in anticipation.
Best Regards
