updated kernel problem

Hi,

Has anyone else noticed that an upgrade of apt sources on 19/06/03
introduced a new kernel vmlinuz-2.4.20-powerpc. This doesn't boot
on my ppc sid system and the only way I could think of to make my
iMac bootable was to start from the install CDs and install the
2.4.18 kernel.

The new kernel looks a lot smaller than the default woody one, too:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3490 Jun 20 18:32 vmlinux-2.4.18-newpmac
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1221 Jun 19 12:14 vmlinuz-2.4.20-powerpc

I've looked in the uk debain ftp repository and I can't see a 2.4.20
ppc kernel image there at all.

Can anyone explain this?

Thanks,
Joss
