Re: PBG412 install early failure - SUCCESS but new question

Hello again!

First of all. I had partial success :))

I brewed a _Woody-installation-CD_ by myself. With that CD built from the
.../current/new-powermac/ -dirs I got a working installation.

AND I had to recognize that my only HD is /dev/hdc =8-\.

PROBLEM: I used a 2.4.20-ben10 kernel with nothing compiled as a
module (I thought at least :( ), which I installed on my
Desktop, took the /boot/vmlinux-2.4.20-ben10, renamed it to linux.bin
and copied it to my home-brewed install-CD.

Now my installation hangs with:
"no modules in /target/lib/modules/2.4.20-ben10 found".

This step is not skipable in the install-process. So how can I
cope with this. I mean, I'm not aware to have modules for this
kernel. Might they be found in my Desktops /lib/modules/2.4.20-ben10,
and if so, where in the installation tree should they be
positioned. Do they have to be *.tgz, or must the whole directory
2.4.20-ben10 be compressed? If so what utilities might be used
therefore (options ?).

Lots of trouble, isn't it?

THX again for patience and eventual help or hints.
