Well, I tried:

gcc -L../.././lib -o pgp ../common/pgpAppFile.o ../common/pgpExit.o
../common/pgpKeyRings.o ../common/pgpInitApp.o ../common/pgpOpt.o
../common/pgpFreewareLicense.o pgp.o parsearg.o filter.o -lpgptty -lpgp
-lbn -lsimple -lm -lnsl
../.././lib/libpgp.a(pgpDebug.o): In function `pgpFormatVAStr':
/home/michdaen/debian/pgp5i-5.0/src/lib/pgp/helper/pgpDebug.c:194:
undefined reference to `__va_arg_type_violation'
/home/michdaen/debian/pgp5i-5.0/src/lib/pgp/helper/pgpDebug.c:194:
relocation truncated to fit: R_PPC_REL24 __va_arg_type_violation
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [pgp] Error 1

varargs related problems and their solutions have been discussed on this
list recently and many times before.
