The console prompt itself.. since I wasn't able to do anything (since xdm/gdm was having problems cos of the video card), I used the install CD, executed a shell from the install program, mounted the Linux partition on /target and then disabled boottime xdm/gdm/kdm. So now I only get a console but can't type on it... nirmal
