Several times, I have left my laptop in its bag for one or two
days. It was sleeping. Before powering it up, I have plugged the AC
cordline and then opened it. I though I was lucky because PMU was
indicating that the battery was at 0% (i.e I have plugged the AC just
before the laptop ran out of battery) but maybe, I have the same
problem as you.
