OK, I dunno then. Why dont you try it anyway. Perhaps it'll work , and you might be able to tell me where I'm going wrong with the other problem :)

But it also happens when I used a CD that I KNOW works. I used it to
install a previous debian PPC install and it worked perfectly...

Another debian box using ftp shell command...
