Here you go:

1) Build a current benh kernel.

2) Install xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk from

deb	http://penguinppc.org/~daenzer/debian/dri-trunk/	./

It runs on woody and doesn't need a modeline, it detects the panel
parameters automatically.
