My iBook2 cannot drive it separately, but it can video mirror. When I attach an external monitor and run m3mirror I get the screen, but with ripples running through it. 

Same ripples when MOL is running full-console, so it's (probably) not just an X thing.

Anyone gotten plain old video mirroring to work without ripples on an iBook2?
