Yes, I agree. If you have enough memory, something that can be
tried is saving things to a ramdisk instead of using the HD of
the computer, for files that are manipulated a lot.
This will allow the HD of the laptop to sleep due to
inactivity time.

Where did you learn that? I'm not with my ibook here, but I'll
definitely test this once I get it.
