I have a suspicion, actually. :) You probably need to unpack
http://www.penguinppc.org/~daenzer/XFree86-4.2/binaries/r128_dri.so.bz2
in /usr/local/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/ and set LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH as
described in the ReadMe.
