Has anyone considered patching the kernel config scripts so that it just
won't even ASK about the "Enhanced Real-time Clock", since this is 100%
_wrong_ for PowerPCs? I've had the same problem (enabling that, thinking
it was a good idea - caused sound not to work on the system in question,
but didn't outright crash it).
