Looks like devfs got mounted during boot, but /etc/fstab has the old device
names still.

You can either not use devfs (disable it in the kernel config) or you can
unset the "automatically mount at boot" option. Or you can use the boot-time
option "devfs=nomount" to not mount it on boot time.

I think there are docs in the kernel sources for how devfs works etc. But
you dont necessarily need it if you dont want to use it.
