Re: Installation super-woes on PowerBook 3400

Patrix,

Mac OS 7.5.3 is available as a free download
<http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n11258>,
upgradeable to 7.5.5, but without a floppy drive (and a Mac to
download to and create disks on), I'm not sure how you'd proceed.
(The download is a whole slew of floppy disk images.)

You might also be able to find someone with a bootable MacOS
CD-ROM, which would (presumably) allow you to boot the machine and
reformat the disk (most people who have Macs probably have a
couple of Apple CD-ROMs lying around).

If you could do that, you could probably install LinuxPPC, and
once you have LinuxPPC installed, you could install Debian to
another partition. (That's how we originally installed Debian on
my main system, back when there were no boot floppies.)

Other than those suggestions, I have to (*ulp!*) agree with
Ethan's comments. Good luck!
