Is there a more detailed set of instructions for the PPC install
somewhere else?!?
My specific problem with the above is when attempting to download the
file 'linux' rather than downloading it I start to open a very large
page of text which is bin hex(?) or some other thing. I suspect that
this is a browser problem (I'm using Netscape 4.7 128) but can't seem to
change the problem. The other files download fine and wait on my HFS
partition for the final one 'linux'...
Any help would be most appreciated In particular I would like to find a
distribution for the PPC on CD, and also a *much* more detailed set of
instructions.

What kind of hardware are you installing on? And with what kind of
Internet connection?

Try downloading the files using Fetch, if you're running Mac OS, as the
vast majority of people installing Debian power-mac would be, methinks.

There is no CD at the moment ( that I am aware of, ) for installing on
the powerpc platform. So you're probably stuck with the net install.

Specific instructions would depend on the install hardware, install-OS,
whether you're installing using BootX, ancillary network hardware, etc.

I'm going thru this same process myself at the moment, so my
instructions would be rather tentative ( and are still not fully tested
by experience, try me in a few days. ) When I get more dogmatic
about them, I may put them up on my home page.
