I suggest you get Paul Mackerras stable tree via rsync. You'll get the
best possible kernel for this machine, and since last week, your
powerbook will be able to sleep ;-) (with a couple issues still needing
the be ironed out when waking up, and power consumption during sleep
maybe not as low as it could be, but we are still working on that).

mkdir linux
cd linux
rsync -zrvz samba.anu.edu.au::linux-pmac-stable .

(note the options may be redundant, I'm not sure if -a implies -r).
