We should work on this.  We have been doing some work on the subject here
(at work), but didn't get far enough.  Anyone is interested?

There are several different models for the video chip.  We found that we
needed to change a few lines in the kernel to get things working nicely...

I think that power management is the most important part though.  I mean
it's a laptop and a damn nice one so we should get that working.
I also intend to get one of the new slimmer G3s when apple releases them
(YEY for academic prices)...
Just out of curiosity does anyone have MacOS X maybe they have power
management there that we can we look at code from?
