Package: debian-policy Version: 3.6.1.1 Severity: wishlist Maybe in Section 10. Files, mention to please don't add redundant suffixes to (at least) /usr/bin (etc.) filenames like .pl, .sh, .awk. (Later it would be much easier to just change the contents of /usr/bin/blorb than needing to make /usr/bin/blorb.pl into /usr/bin/blorb.py etc.) Or mention it in perl-policy, awk-policy ... :-(
