Package: sysnews
Version: 0.9-8
Severity: normal

Moving the news directory to /var/lib/sysnews is a bad idea because it breaks
the compatibilty with System V standard. All systems providing the news(1)
command get their news from /var/news. If FHS specifies otherwise (i did not
check btw.) then FHS is broken and not the sysnews package.

Hi,

Since the new location is /var/spool/news (and that does seem
sane to me), this report is obsolete.
