Almost ;-). I do think that this is a situation where we do
have a transition state which is less than acceptable, but there is
no solution that stands out as being good. Instead, we have to choose
between some that are the lesser of the evils, and nothing, I
suspect, shall please everyone involved.
The policy mechanism was not made to handle such situations,
but there are other means.

Please hold off that for a week or so. There are
constitutional methods for getting contentious stuff into the plicy
document, and this seems like an ideal scenario for one of them.
