        This is a temnporary  band-aid solution that does not justify
 changing our source packaging mehtods, and, further, lossing the
 pristineness of the upstream source.

        Note that the unless I can match any size, md5sum, and pgp
 signature provided upstream, the source is not pristine. This is not
 an opinion.
        
        And, in any case, any solution enterred because we are at a CD
 boundary is likely to last only a few months at best.
