This is IMHO a trite argument as it ignores the complexity of the
multi-maintainer packages and the nature of the bugs. Also, though
they aren't packages, several things can/will/would benefit from
multiple maintainers (e.g. new-maintainer, pgp-update,
ftp.debian.org).
