	You don't know my contraints and you do not know the goals for
 my machine, and yet you call my setup broken? Is this a troll? Are
 you just trying to be insulting?  May I suggest the flaw is with
 your imagination that you can not concieve of why a set up like mine
 may be required?

	Anyway, I do not intend to rake up these old bones again,
 since I agree with the maintainer that the default should do the
 minimum, and merely make it very easy to set up things with ip-up. 

	BTW, this is really old hat. Would you please peovide more
 context when you bring up ancient threads like this, as quite likely
 the participants have forgotten the details, and merely rememberr the
 conclusion of the discussion?
