FHS simulation through Symlinks in hamm?
I would suggest making debian 2.0 partially FHS compatible by inserting
some symlinks. The real directories will still be FSSTND but symlinks will
be available to make FHS directories valid to use for packages.
i.e. add symlinks:
/usr/share/doc -> ../doc
/usr/share/man -> ../man
...
With these symlinks the migration to FHS is easier after hamm is stable
and packages in hamm might already use FHS (or a subset thereof).
After hamm is released the situation is reversed. The real directory for
docs will be /usr/share/doc but there will be FSSTND compat symlinks:
/usr/doc -> ../share/doc
/usr/man -> ../share/man
...
so that old packages can still be installed.
