Given that it's being maintained by the Debian QA Team, it looks like
the package is already orphaned.

However, I can't find the open O: bug on:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?include=subject%3Amma;dist=unstable;package=wnpp

I would start by contacting the Debian QA Team about it, or file a ITA
(Intent to Adopt) bug against wnpp; see reportbug wnpp, similar to how
we file for ITPs/RFPs/etc.
