Sorry for being late, I've been on vacation. 

I don't really think there's much creative content here, but I just
added a note in debian/copyright to get this clear.

The patch (10mbox-locking.dpatch in libemail-localdelivery-perl) is
non-portable - see the debian-perl 'Mailbox locking' thread in December
2005, especially this:

It's also specific to Debian in the sense that it implements the 
requirements of the Debian policy and relies on having dotlockfile(1) 
available (which is probably not very common.) 

For these reasons, I didn't send the patch upstream straight away,
and mostly forgot about it afterwards. It would be good form to inform
upstream, of course, and possibly this could make it in as a compile-time
option or somesuch.

Thanks for the reminder, I'll file a CPAN ticket about this soon.
