No Problem, errors are there to be made :-)

It is indeed common practice to rename source tarballs to fit the debian
way of naming them.  So it is alway up to the maintainer how he names
the source package (though it is usually clear). But once the maintainer
chose the source package name, he (and his successors) should stick to
that name.
