I would say we are working at least for the same side.
I have found out now how to reproduce it. Just take an Office97 xls and save it as ods. Then copy one sheet to a new tab and save it again. After that it will crash in the preview.Aha, OK, will check.
You can close this bug here because i have opened it at openoffice.org now. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=116563 This is the better place for it. Presumable this bug can not be fixed in Debian. Or just set the severity down.
