Now I completely reinstalled openoffice.org and
openoffice.org-debian-files with --force-confmiss after removing
/etc/openoffice. Then I created a new user, started gnome, started
openoffice. Bang. Same same.
My wild guess is that it has to do with fonts. *WILD GUESS*. I have a
huge amount of fonts installed here (dpkg -l | grep font gives):
gsfonts
gsfonts-x11
latex-xft-fonts
t1-cyrillic
t1-xfree86-nonfree
ttf-baekmuk
ttf-bangla-fonts
ttf-bitstream-vera
ttf-freefont
ttf-indic-fonts
ttf-isabella
ttf-kochi-gothic-naga10
ttf-kochi-mincho-naga10
ttf-larabie-deco
ttf-larabie-straight
ttf-larabie-uncommon
ttf-opensymbol
ttf-tamil-fonts
ttf-thryomanes
ttf-xfree86-nonfree
tv-fonts
unifont
xfonts-100dpi
xfonts-100dpi-transcoded
xfonts-75dpi
xfonts-75dpi-transcoded
xfonts-base
xfonts-base-transcoded
xfonts-bitmap-mule
xfonts-biznet-100dpi
xfonts-biznet-75dpi
xfonts-biznet-base
xfonts-biznet-iso-8859-2-100dpi
xfonts-biznet-iso-8859-2-75dpi
xfonts-biznet-iso-8859-2-base
xfonts-dosemu
xfonts-efont-unicode
xfonts-intl-arabic
xfonts-intl-asian
xfonts-intl-chinese
xfonts-intl-chinese-big
xfonts-intl-european
xfonts-intl-japanese
xfonts-intl-japanese-big

xfonts-scalable
xfonts-terminus
xfonts-thai
xfonts-thai-etl
xfonts-thai-manop
xfonts-thai-nectec
xfonts-thai-ttf
xfonts-thai-vor
Could this be the reason?
I have disabled my local fonts from /etc/fonts/local.conf so this should
be not the case.
Best wishes
