Could you get him to explicitely declare his previous work as LGPL?  If he is
willing to release a statement to that effect, we have a clear winner.

Does Karlsson also agree to assing LGPL to what he changed?

Exactly.  Can he select which license he wants and let us know?  We can of
course recommend thta he selects LGPL, then we're home free. :)

Thanks for taking the time to contact them both!  It's highly appreciated.

On a different issue, could you also ask Saarinen and Karlsson if they would be
willing to contribute their expertise in linguistics to help develop and
maintain the Finnish hyphenator and dictionaries?  We need coders for the
spellcheckers, but we also need linguists to maintain the wordlists.
