Keeping the settings is not supported at all by upstream. Our wrapper
script attempts to use previous settings if available, and to keep previous
settings it definitely needs the previous version's settings from
~/.openoffice. So I have no idea what you mean here.
Please will you explain more about the problem and what happens to your
settings directory.
