By the look of that trace, it is blowing up in the font code.  You will
probably be able to find a workaround in the font troubleshooting FAQ:

If you find a workaround, it may be a good idea to create an issue upstream,
giving this backtrace and the cause of the problem.  I couldn't find any
open issues about crashes like yours that also include a stack trace, and it
may help to get this fixed properly within the code.
