Matteo and I met shortly after we started using Debian. So when he started contributing to Debian, I monitored his work and later started to act as an unofficial mentor, reviewing his packages and teaching him few things about Debian procedures among other things. I've looked several of his packages and especially his packaging of fdutils and more recently salutatoi, urwid-satext, pyfeed and xmlelements (all four being ITP mostly ready for upload). His package are systematically in good shape, following modern standard practices. I've seen him work hard when adopting fdutils to triage and fix as many bugs as possible and have been very satisfied with his recent packaging of pyfeed and xmlelements which he did entirely alone. Matteo is always eager to learn more and is very nice to work with. Therefore, I fully endorse his application to become a DM. You'll be a very good DM Matteo. Best regards, Thomas Preud'homme
